AFTER
  • Is this a chemical or physical change?
  • What evidence supports your answer?
  • Does the mass reading on the scale change?
  • What caused the color change to occur?
  • What atoms could have been involved in the reaction?
  • Is it possible that any atoms were created or destroyed in the reaction?
  • If you were to have a campfire, then weigh the ashes left over, how would that number compare to the weight of the original logs that got burned?
  • Can you think of a way to catch all the reactants and products involved in a campfire?  What would need to be done?
