Momentum Conceptual pre and post test results

For the second section on momentum, a similar format was used.  The pretest questions were conceptual in nature and are given here.  The responses to the ten pretest questions are given below.
A "+" signifies a correct response and "-" signifies an incorrect response.  The first symbol in each box shows the pretest response and the second symbol shows the posttest response.  The pretest did not include questions mathematical in nature because student's quantitative experience with momentum was essentially nonexistent.

These results show that for the entire class, conceptual problem pretest average was 2.74 out of eight and post test was 4.74.  For the internet section students, (in pink) the pretest average was 3.14 and post test average was 5In both sections, the improvement was about two points.
