UNKNOWN/UNACCOUNTED FOR VARIABLES:

  • student learning style differences
  • amount of time "on task" for online students
  • amount of online student interaction (and/or cheating)
  • in-class students use of online materials (and vice versa)
  • interaction between the two groups

  • TEACHER VARIABLES:

  • possibe inconsistent test scoring (I award points for successful steps followed in problems, and that can be difficult to do consistently)
  • test questions geared more toward one group than the other
